As Superintendent of Springer Municipal Schools I want to assure parents and students that this district is committed to providing effective instructional leadership and a quality learning environment (as per the mission statement) in order for our students to be prepared for their future plans. We as a district can not attain this goal without the help and commitment from parents. The more the school and the families are joined as partners in educating young people, the greater the child’s chances of success. Also the greater the students work together and the greater the responsibilities students take for their work the greater the learning. I look forward to a very successful school year.

Welcome back to Springer High for the 2009-2010 school year. I hope all of you had a great summer. We made AYP this year and congratulations go out to all Students, Staff and Parents. Thank you all for your hard work. But as they say it’s time to hit the books again and get involved in a new school year.

I want all students; staff and parents to know that I do have an open door policy and if you have a concern or problem to come in and talk to me, we might just take care of it. I am looking forward to a very positive year. Remember: Attitude is everything; if you think you can make the grade you can, but if you think on the negative side, that’s what you have. So lets support each other and make this the best year yet at Springer Schools.

SHS Principal

As Principal of the Elementary and Middle School, it is important to set the academic tone and actively work with teachers to develop and maintain high curriculum standards, develop mission statements, and set performance goals and objectives for all students. The absence of a goal usually means failure to achieve. Therefore, high educational standards and goals are an expectation of all students. Students’ educational progress is the priority. Together, a positive and motivated staff, along with parents and community members, can solve problems, find resources, and support the educational process.
