As Superintendent of Springer Municipal Schools I want to assure parents and students that this district is committed to providing effective instructional leadership and a quality learning environment (as per the mission statement) in order for our students to be prepared for their future plans. We as a district can not attain this goal without the help and commitment from parents. The more the school and the families are joined as partners in educating young people, the greater the child’s chances of success. Also the greater the students work together and the greater the responsibilities students take for their work the greater the learning. I look forward to a very successful school year.

Welcome back to Springer High for the 2010-2011 School Year.  The Springer Mission statement states that we will provide effective instructional leadership; and we will also have a quality-learning environment to produce successful members of society. As Principal of the High School, I am committed to increasing our achievement scores and decreasing our discipline referrals within the school setting. I also want our students, parents and community members to know that I do have an open door policy and would also invited them to visit our school. Together we can do more for the students of Springer. We didn’t meet our AYP goal in Math this year and we are in the process of coming up with a plan to increases those scores. We did meet our Reading goals and our graduation rate.  Thank you all for your hard work. I wish all the students and staff at Springer Schools the best year yet.

As Principal of the Elementary and Middle School, it is important to set the academic tone and actively work with teachers to develop and maintain high curriculum standards, develop mission statements, and set performance goals and objectives for all students. The absence of a goal usually means failure to achieve. Therefore, high educational standards and goals are an expectation of all students. Students’ educational progress is the priority. Together, a positive and motivated staff, along with parents and community members, can solve problems, find resources, and support the educational process.
