Diego and ROCA

Diego Ramirez has been accepted into the ROCA NM program! The 2022 Rural Opportunities for College Access in-person program will take place June 21-24 at NM Highlands University in Las Vegas. This program is a gateway for exploring college opportunities both in and out of NM and will offer the chance to meet administration professionals from across the country.

ROCA NM provides opportunities for first-generation rural New Mexican students to pursue their college dreams. Once again, congratulations Diego! We at SHS and the community are so proud of your accomplishments!

Congratulations, Mary!
Mary and Family

Congratulations, Mary! Mary Jensen signed with the University of Portland and the Davis New Mexico Scholarship last Tuesday. Mary chose from UP, St. Edwards University, Southwestern University, Occidental College, University of Denver, and Lawrence University. These colleges have success with first generation college students.

The Davis New Mexico Scholarship pays for 100% of tuition. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must not have a parent who has a bachelor degree, and must be involved in a partner college readiness program. Mary was part of Rural opportunities for College Access New Mexico (ROCA NM).
