Junior Day is for high school juniors starting their college search.
Junior Day is on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from
10:00 am - 3:00 pm. at Highlands University.

The University will be presenting “your plan to get to college.”  This is event is free to students. This experience will give students the opportunity to learn when to start submitting an application and transcripts for admission, and give them the opportunity to meet with their regional recruiter.
They will hear from current students and spend some time using NMHU Outdoor Recreational equipment that is available for check out to current students through the campus life fee. The Outdoor Recreation Center promotes outdoor recreation by providing equipment as well as activities to optimize the enjoyment of the outdoors.
Students will also take a peek of the campus, meet current students, and learn about our academic programs. Lunch will be on us at our concession stand while enjoying some fun in the sun at our women’s soft ball game.

Recycle 1

We have started an aluminum can recycling project at SHS. We want to recycle as many aluminum cans as we can. Beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2016, we will have a bin at the home basketball games for all aluminum cans. All students are also encouraged to bring their aluminum cans from home, and take them to Mr. Montoya's classroom. Let's make this project a success. We can all be better global citizens. All community members:  We will also accept all of your aluminum cans as well. Please contact Mr. Montoya at the high school at 575-483-3410.
